Governor Joet Garcia on Friday, September 2 presided over the Provincial Local Health Board Meeting held at The Bunker. Said meeting focused on updates regarding the Philhealth Konsulta, Universal Health Care (UHC)Law, vaccination campaign, ensuring the safety of students as they return to school, and other health programs of the province.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) discussed the province-wide initiative for the implementation of UHC law as well as the current situation of the Rural Health Units (RHUs) and District Hospitals. Governor Joet Garcia underscored that while the province is continuously working on providing healthcare services to the public, it is also vital to give awareness and focus on prevention to avoid possible worst health conditions.
Municipal and Local Health Officers together with their respective Local Chief Executives who were present in the said meeting discussed the current situation in their RHUs and District Hospitals.
Governor Garcia, in expressing his gratitude to the different agencies and offices who continue to cooperate in promoting various health programs, is likewise hopeful that through collaborative efforts, said health programs will be efficiently and effectively delivered province-wide.
